Installing a swim spa requires a certain level of preparation beforehand, to make sure it is safe and complies with local housing regulations. Here are some installation factors to consider:

Site Selection and Preparation

This stage involves choosing the correct place in your outdoor area for the swim spa. There needs to be enough room, and no obstacles such as trees or overhead power lines, to make sure the spa will fit through the gate or driveway for delivery. 

Delivery

This is done with your local delivery courier who can assist you with all the handling. Just make sure they have clear access and measure the corners if there are any. You can read our pre-delivery guide for more information. 

Spa Foundation (above ground)

This can be done on a patio,  strong deck, concrete pad, concrete pavers, gravel or crushed rock. Make sure to check the weight of the swim spa as well as the water it will take. The foundations need to be able to support this weight.

There are several ways to maintain your swim spa that can impact its efficiency and safety to use. One of these is to check the water level regularly. If it gets too low, the internal water pump can become damaged. It can also impact the pH level of the water which should also be monitored to stay consistent and within the preferred range. 

Cleaning the filter every couple of months can also help reduce the risk of mould forming. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure the water stays clear of dirt, leaves and any external pollution. 

Our spa hardcovers come as part of every swimspa purchase for added protection and security. This ensures children and pets can’t get in as well as debris or dirt getting into the water. Another benefit is the fact that our spa covers seal the spa, improving heat retention. 

The last thing to do is replace the water every 3-4 months to keep it clean and prevent any extra mould growth or a drop in water quality.
