First things first, can the spa actually fit through your access points? For smaller spas, 3 metres or less, you’ll need at least 1 metre of clear access. This allows us to deliver the spa on its side. For larger models or swim spas, things get a little trickier – you might need to call in a crane or HIAB for delivery. Not sure if your space will work? Don’t stress! Take some measurements, snap a few photos or videos, and chat with your local Just Spas store – they’re more than happy to help.
Set the stage! Is your foundation ready?
Your spa will have a grand entrance, so it’s important to set the stage and clear the ground for installation. Once your spa is on-site, you’ll need a sturdy, level foundation. Whether it’s a concrete slab or well-packed pavers, just make sure the surface is flat and strong enough to hold the weight of the spa when it’s filled with water (and people!). Uneven ground can cause headaches later, so it’s worth putting in the time and effort to get the base right before your spa arrives.

Most Just Spas models will need to be hard-wired into your home’s electrical system, which means a qualified electrician (the pro) is a must. While it’s tempting to DIY, safety should always come first – plus, it’s important to comply with local regulations. The good news is, once it’s installed, you won’t need to worry about constantly filling it with water – a garden hose will do the job whenever it needs topping up.
Heads up! Got enough room overhead?
When it comes to spa installation, don’t forget to look up! Overhead clearance is an often-overlooked factor that can cause delays on installation day. Check for any obstructions, like low-hanging branches, awnings, or power lines that could get in the way of the spa or the equipment used to deliver it.
